Margie Louella Saddler, 86, entered into rest on Monday, January 3, 2011.
Mrs. Saddler was born on March 5, 1924 in Harlan, Kentucky. She grew up in Pocahontas, Alabama, and graduated from Carbon Hill High School, Carbon Hill, Alabama. Mrs. Saddler retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty years of civil service in the Contracting Directorate. In Warner Robins, she served as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader, and was a member of the United Methodist Women and First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Jean Kilko; brothers, Claude Beasley, Jr., Charles Beasley and Bill Beasley; sister, Mildred Atkins; and parents, Claude Beasley, Sr. and Elsie Beasley.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Nelson "Jim" Ferrell Saddler; children, Betty Lou Saddler Holley, Acworth, Georgia, Jimmy Earl "Butch" Saddler, Warner Robins, and Larry James Saddler, Macon; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
There will be no funeral service, as Mrs. Saddler donated her body for study at the University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Her family will gather to celebrate Mrs. Saddler's life and receive visitors at 208 Crestwood Terrace, Warner Robins, Georgia, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association, 277 M.L.K. Jr., Blvd. Ste. 201, Macon GA 31201-349 or the First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins, 205 N. Davis Drive, Warner Robins GA 31093-3347.
