Margaret “Margie” Ann Cameron passed away peacefully at the age of 87, on the morning of Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
Born on January 23, 1937, in New Blaine, Arkansas, Margie was the daughter of the late Arnold Humphrey and Kate Lowery Humphrey.
Following her education, Margie dedicated herself to a career in healthcare, serving as a pharmacy technician at Houston County Hospital. Her commitment to caring extended far beyond her professional duties, as she lovingly tended to her husband Ernest during his final years.
Family meant the world to Margie, and her love for them knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.
Margie's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was as an active member of the Byron Baptist Church. Her involvement in the Gleanors Sunday School Class enriched the lives of those around her.
Margie’s legacy of love will be fondly remembered, and her compassion will continue to inspire generations to come.
In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Ernest E. Cameron.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Terri Cameron Carr (Thomas) and Debbi Cameron Loi (Dale); four grandchildren, James Carr, Kristen Bryant (Richard), Cameron Loi, and Emma Loi; and three great-grandchildren, Theo, Andrew, and Lila.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Byron Baptist Church, with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Afterward, Margaret “Margie” Ann Cameron will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Margaret “Margie” Ann Cameron to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and Byron Baptist Church, 100 White Road, Byron, GA 31008.
