Maria Horton Basinski

Maria Horton Basinski passed away on September 23, 2009.

Mrs. Basinski was born on July 9, 1919 in Macon, the daughter of Harry N. and Marie Stewart Horton. She graduated from Mercer University in 1940 and received a degree from Emory Library School in 1941. A dedicated Episcopalian, she attended St. Francis Episcopal Church in Macon. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Eugene R. Basinski of Buffalo, New York.

She lives on in the hearts of her children, Audrey Cox, Macon, and Peter Basinski, Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at St. Francis Episcopal Church.
