Marian D. Walker

Marian D. Walker, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2005. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Warner Robins with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2005, from 6 until 8 PM at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Houston County Library, 721 Watson Blvd. Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.

Mrs. Walker was born in Bulloch, County. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins. She retired from the Houston County Board of Education as a School Counselor. She taught at Warner Robins High School. She was the first full-time counselor at Northside High School. She was also a former member of the Houston County Library Board, President of the Warner Robins Women’s Club, and Active in the Pilot Club, Morning Garden Club, and Retired Teacher’s Association. Her husband, Homer J. Walker, Jr.; parents, Stephen A. and Sarah Driggers, preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons, Jay Walker (Mary), Warner Robins; Donald S. Walker (Patricia), Warner Robins; Tommy Walker (Penny), Fort Valley; granddaughters, Stephanie Rainey (Harold), Warner Robins; Sarah Walker, Fort Valley; grandson, C.J Walker, Warner Robins.
