Macon – Marie Fleming Sanders, 87, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 23, 2010.

Mrs. Sanders, formerly of 410 McArthur Blvd., Warner Robins, was born on September 6, 1923 in Vincent, Alabama. She was the owner and operator of Ree Sanders Daycare for many decades and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Her parents, John Irvin and Dora Bishop Fleming; daughter, Sue Sanders Wood; son, Wayne E. Sanders preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her granddaughters, Robin (Rick) Oliver, Forsyth and Leslie (Bryant) Skipper, Macon; grandsons, Jimmy (Ashley) Wood, Calhoun, Bobby (Lindsay) Wood, Daniel Island, SC, and David (Melissa) Wood, Rock Hill, SC; great grandchildren, Regan Oliver, Forsyth, Tate and Laney Skipper, Macon, Julia and Emmy Wood, Daniel Island, SC, Colin and Evan Wood, Calhoun; son-in-law, Jim Wood (Lynn); and daughter-in-law, Myra Fowler Sanders, Byron.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Reverend Paula Hoffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to First Presbyterian Church, 1139 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins GA 31093.

The family would like to thank the loving staff of The Oaks at Peake Nursing Home for all the love and care that was provided to their grandmother.
