Marie P. Prescott

Marie Peiffer Prescott, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Mrs. Prescott was born on December 9, 1944 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania to the late Henry James and Marion Ruth Swope Peiffer. She retired from civil service on Robins Air Force Base where she worked in personnel management. A devoted follower of Christ, she was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served as a communion minister and worked in the Christian Service Center. She was a member of the Miata Car Club and made many trips with her fellow members. Her greatest joy in life came from the time that she spent playing with her Georgia nieces and nephews that she loved as her own grandchildren.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband Jackie C. Prescott; her sisters, Suzanne Mary Peiffer Simpson of Cleona, Pennsylvania, Joan Mary Peiffer Harlow (Richard) of Oxford, North Carolina, and Mollie Peiffer Rickman (Rick) of Eatonton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews that she absolutely adored.

A memorial gathering with Mrs. Prescott’s family will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The memorial mass celebrating her life will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Fred Nijem officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made in memory of Marie Prescott to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate) or the Alzheimer’s Association (act.alz.org).
