Marilyn Pund

Marilyn Pund, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Monday, July 4, 2022, at the age of 89.

Born in Covington, KY on September 25, 1932, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lucille Bornhorn Smith. She graduated from St. Henry Catholic School in nearby Elsmere and married her one true love and soulmate, Don Pund, shortly after. Marilyn was a full-time wife, mother and homemaker whose life centered on family. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, as well.

Those left to cherish Marilyn’s memory are her loving husband, Don Pund of Bonaire; children, Donna Trahan (Doug) of Austin, TX, Ted Pund (Karen) of Enterprise, AL and Jennifer Richter (Allen) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Brad Newsom of Enterprise, AL, Adam Trahan of Denton, TX, Bill Pund of Warner Robins, Katie Trahan of Pound Ridge, NY, Jim Pund of Warner Robins, Eric Newsom of Enterprise, AL; Jacci McNeely of Boston, MA, Mackenzie Richter of Houston, TX, Carter Richter of Warner Robins, Conner Richter of Marietta, GA, Madelyn Richter of Warner Robins and Macy Richter of Houston, TX; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Monsignor Fred Nijem officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Marilyn to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
