Marilyn Stickle Strawn

June 20, 1930 — March 12, 2017

On the evening of Sunday, March 12, 2017, 86 year old Marilyn Strawn went to be with her Lord and Savior.

Marilyn was born on June 20, 1930, in Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Allene Stickle. An outstanding homemaker, she traveled with her husband during his military career. Family was always Marilyn's first and very highest priority. After her children were grown, she worked as a sales associate at Stephen's Corporation. Marilyn was a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church in Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania and was currently attending Robins Air Force Base Chapel in Warner Robins. She was a member of the NCO Wives Club where she was the Scholarship Chairman. Marilyn also volunteered over 3, 000 hours of service to the Robins Air Force Base Family Services. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards and completing crossword puzzles. However, Marilyn's greatest joy was found in time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Norwin Stickle.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband CMSgt. James Strawn, USAF (Ret.) of Bonaire; children, Gregory Neal Strawn (Evelyn) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Stephen B. Strawn (Reneé) of Warner Robins; Jan M. Parrish (John) of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Casey Davis (Marcus); Derek Strawn (Amber); Gil Strawn (Rebecca); Jared Parrish; Jordan Parrish; Jessie Parrish; great-grandchildren, Alexis Strawn; Dakota Strawn; Harleigh Parrish; and sister, June VanScyoc-Chapman.
