Marjorie Elaine Hogan

August 10, 1928 — March 18, 2025

Warner Robins

Marjorie Elaine Hogan, age 96, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late James and Ruth Allen Welch. Marjorie lived a full and vibrant life, known for her kindness, resilience, and dedication to her family. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories.

Marjorie was married to the love of her life, John Edward Hogan, for 25 years before his untimely passing from a heart attack at the age of 50 in 1977. After his death, she continued to live in Pittsburgh with her mother, Ruth Welch, until her mother's passing in 1988. In 1998, Marjorie moved to Warner Robins, Georgia, to be closer to her family. In 2019, she entered Summer’s Landing, where she spent the remainder of her life surrounded by a loving and devoted staff, who made her feel at home.

Marjorie was widely known for her incredible artistic talents, creating numerous oil, acrylic, and pastel paintings of friends, family, pets, and the beauty of nature. She was proud to have her artwork displayed in an exhibit at Summer’s Landing in 2019, an experience she treasured. Marjorie was also an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, where she helped make banners and was an integral part of the Ladies Guild.

However, it was her family that brought Marjorie the greatest joy, especially her great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, even when the gatherings were filled with chaos and laughter. Holidays, particularly Christmas, held a special place in her heart, and nothing brought her more happiness than having her family around the dining room table at Ruthie and Dave's home, where 13 loved ones would come together for laughter and storytelling.

Family and faith were the foundation of Marjorie's life, and although dementia brought challenges in her final year, she never wavered in her belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. She always looked forward to the day she would be with Him, and that day has now come. We rejoice in knowing that Marjorie is at peace, reunited with her Savior.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Mary Roberts (Mark Williams) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Brian Hogan of Belle Chase, Louisiana, and Ruthie Radcliff (Dave) of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Erin, Emily, Shauna, Devin, Katie, and Becky; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Dadelius, Damian, Leland, Joey, Sophia, Maddux, Piper, Turner, Colton, and Charlotte.

Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with a funeral service immediately following. Afterward, Marjorie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
