Marjorie Gard, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, December 6, 2008.
Mrs. Gard was born in Cory, Indiana on January 21, 1915. A homemaker, she was a member of the Warner Robins Women's Club, Warner Robins Garden Club and an avid bridge player. She joined First Baptist Church of Warner Robins in 1956. Her husband, Ardian A. Gard, Sr., daughter, Marilyn Dixon, parents, Mack McCullough and Hatti Stoops McCullough, all preceded her in death.
Treasuring her memory are sons, Ardian Gard, Jr. (Anne) and Bob Gard (Camille) both of Canton; daughter, Sue McCoy (Tony), Portland, Oregon; son-in-law, Bennie Dixon, Port St. Lucie, Florida; sisters, Katheryn Gilbert, Cory, Indiana; Doris Wall, King City, Missouri; brothers, Jack McCullough, Cory, Indiana and Gene McCullough, Brazil, Indiana; grandchildren, Roxsanne Roush, David Roush, Sherri Furtney, Melanie Joris, Amy McCorkle, Stephanie Bracken, Philip Gard, Ashley Saunders, Ginger Brenner, Tiffany Rafferty, Darin McCoy and Jennifer Aubrey; twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. preceding the service. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westrige Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
