Emblem
Mark Allen Kloberdanz, 55, entered into rest on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Mark was born on May 2, 1968, in Sterling, Colorado. He enlisted and honorably served his country as a United States Marine for over 30 years, 27 of which were spent on active duty. During his time as a Marine, he participated in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. For his selfless dedication to duty and actions taken during this time, Mark was the recipient of two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and was the recipient of one Army Achievement Medal among numerous other unit and campaign awards.

After his retirement from the Marine Corps, Mark continued to be a leader within the community. After starting up multiple businesses of his own in Kathleen, he took to mentoring other small business owners helping them achieve their own goals within the community. During his free time, he could be found working on his property making small improvements, tending to his chickens, or relaxing in the pool in the backyard. However, his favorite part of his day was getting to spend time with his wife, three kids, or his grandsons. Whether it was in person or over the phone, he always made sure he had time for those closest to him. No matter what he was doing though, his helper, “The Gunny Dog” was always found by his side. Mark’s dedication, tenacity, and enthusiasm will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of meeting him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 32 years, Tricia Kloberdanz; children, Steven and his wife Hannah Kloberdanz of Vancleave, MS, Gabe Kloberdanz of Kathleen, GA, and Cassidy Kloberdanz of Kathleen, GA; grandchildren, Brayden Kloberdanz and Ryland Kloberdanz, both of Vancleave, MS; parents, Richard and Patricia Kloberdanz of Sterling, CO; siblings, Rhonda and her husband Tony Poore of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Debbie and her husband Craig Smith of Greely, CO; along with Danielle Atwell of Kokomo, IN and loving furry companion, “The Gunny Dog”.

Visitation will be on May 14th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with his memorial service being held in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on May 14th, 2024. Mark will be laid to rest in Georgia National Cemetery on May 15th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
