Martha Geraine Williams

Martha Williams, 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2016.

Martha was born in Blue Springs, Alabama on November 16, 1933 to the late Grady and Mary Lessie Pippin Walker. She was a graduate of Blue Springs High School Class of 1951. In February of 1952 Martha married her best friend and love of her life, the late Yewell Bennett Williams. She passed away on what would have been their 64th wedding anniversary. Martha was a devoted homemaker, always caring for her beloved family. She was an exceptional role model with a servant's heart, both at home and for the Lord. Martha was a Faithful Christian who said the Lord's Prayer daily. She was known for her quick wit and as a fantastic cook. Additionally, she enjoyed fishing, music; especially country music, flowers, birds, nature, and most of all, time spent surrounded by family and loved ones.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Dennis Williams, and great-grandsons, Dennis and Daniel Williams.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Karen Welsh (Tom) of Perry; Martha "Bunny" Mize (Johnnie) of Stone Mountain; Pattie Jane Williams (Lisa Brasher) of Duluth; Craig Williams (Jean) of Warner Robins; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Williams; grandchildren, Stephanie and Robin Mize, Summer Williams, Alita Sharp, Micah Williams, Denise Ratliff and Jacob Williams; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kammi, Kameron, Lola, Eden, Liam, and Chloe; as well as her caregiver, Alivia Roberts.

Visitation with Martha's family will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Martha will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
