Martha Martin was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 13, 2015. She was 87.
Martha was born in Vienna, Georgia to the late William Henry and Evie Lena Hannon. A charter member of Central Baptist Church, she was a member of the Pete Joyner Sunday School Class and was involved in the Homebound Buddy Ministry. Martha served many years and retired from the Houston County Commissioner's Office. Martha will always be remembered as a woman of faith and the heart of the Martin family who endlessly devoted herself to her family and friends.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Martin. Her memory will be treasured by her loving children, Paula Brown (Harvey) of Warner Robins, Phyllis Goff (Steve) of Covington, Louisiana, Patrice Briley (Joe) of Gray, and Alan Martin (Leticia) of League City, Texas; grandchildren, Juston and Steven Goff, Harvey Brown IV and Evan Brown, Megan Briley and Joseph Briley III, Cari Williams, and Cory and Christopher Martin; five great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Law of Marietta, Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Mrs. Martin will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Martha to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
