Martha L. Shetler, 75, entered into rest on Monday, April 1, 2013.
Martha was born on June 8, 1937 in Rossiter, Pennsylvania to the late Luther Elbell and Cora Smith Elbell. She graduated from Clearfield High School in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix at the young age of 65. A true and devout Catholic, Martha retired from the Archdiocese of Baltimore and was a member Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted husband, John William Shetler, Centerville; adoring children, Carrie Shetler, Byron; Kristin Bird (Rick), Sykesville, Maryland; Annette Puente (Mike), Finksburg, Maryland; Steve Shetler (Dawn), Gilbert, Arizona; and Maria Martin, Oceanside, California; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Gross, Thurmont, Maryland; Theodore Elbell, Madisonville, Tennessee; Marcella Turner, Lock Haven, Pennsylvania; and Martin Elbell, Centerville, Georgia; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Committal Service will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to the Christian Service Center, 136 Northview Avenue, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
