Martha P. Wiggins, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 18, 2014.
Martha was born on October 22, 1933 in Macon, Georgia to the late Earl E. and Maggie Lee Hawkins Payne. After attending Lanier High School in Macon, she worked for many years in production at Allied Chemical before retiring from Accent Fabrics. Following retirement, she worked at Piccadilly and was a sitter for the elderly. Second Baptist was her church home.
A much-loved member of the Moose Club in Warner Robins, Martha enjoyed playing bingo and taking her chances on the lottery, and spoiling her grandchildren. She will fondly be remembered by her family as a doting mother, grandmother and sister, who loved her puppies.
Her parents; brothers, Buddy Payne and Felton Payne; sisters, Edna Smith and Juanita Donaldson; and son-in-law, Ted Schildknecht, preceded her in death.
Martha's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Eddie Wiggins (Debbie) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Freddie Wiggins (Jean) of Slidell, Louisiana, Carolyn Blas (Pat) of Warner Robins and Janie Schildknecht of Bonaire; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Payne (Bobbie) and Pauline Burney; a host of adoring nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Patricia Stinson.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be given In Memory of Martha P. Wiggins to your favorite charity.
