Martha Smith Fisher

A doting mother, grandmother, and friend, Martha Smith Fisher, 93, passed away at her residence on Monday, May 3, 2021, with her loving family by her side.

The daughter of the late John and Daisy Milligan Smith, Martha was born on August 12, 1927, in Sandersville, Georgia. A diligent and earnest worker, Martha served as the Store Manager at Krystal in Macon for more than 30 years before her retirement. In her free time, she spent many afternoons reeling in the catch of the day while taking in the beauty of the scenery around her. To say Martha lived her life to the fullest would be an understatement; she made the most of every moment especially when spending time with her family. Martha leaves behind a legacy of hard work, unconditional love, and a life well lived.

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Stanley Jesse Fisher, Sr., preceded Martha in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, Daveyjohn Fisher (Nancy) of Kathleen; and Stanley Jesse Fisher, Jr. of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Nathan Fisher (Jessa), Amanda Fisher Harman, Jesse Fisher, Shawn Fisher (Colleen); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaleb (Ashley), Matthew (Hannah), Dalton, Gabriel, Garrett, SJ and Penelope; great-great-grandchildren, Bella, Adilyn, and Audriee; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members and friends.

Martha’s family will receive visitors on Friday, May 7, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with a graveside service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
