Martin B. Pinckney, Sr., went to eternal glory on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
Mr. Pinckney was born on January 5, 1915 in Southport Florida. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty-two years of service as a Weapon Systems Logistics Officer, serving more than five years overseas. From 1947 to 1975, he and his wife owned and operated Pinckney Circle Jewelry. Christ United Methodist Church was his church home. He was a member of the Warner Robins Men's Bowling Association, where he served as Vice President and Director. His wife, Marguerite Pinckney, parents, Walter and Lou Pinckney, and brother, Joe Pinckney, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his sons, Martin B. Pinckney, Jr. (Alice) and Freddie Pinckney (Martha); grandchildren, Martin B. Pinckney, III (Kimberly) , Elissa Ellison (Johnny), and Justin Pinckney; great-grandchildren, Savannah Ellison, Avoly Pinckney, Andrew Ellison, Leyton Pinckney, and Sarah Elisabeth Ellison; and little dog, Josh.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9 2008 at Christ United Methodist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made, if you wish, to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
