Marvin Franklin Prevatt

September 24, 1931 — May 26, 2006

Marvin Franklin Prevatt, 74, formerly of Jacksonville, FL died on Friday, May 26, 2006. A private memorial service for the family will be held in Jacksonville at a later date. His body was cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Byron Baptist Church 100 White RD Byron, GA 31008 or to a charity of donor’s choice.

Mr. Prevatt was born on September 24, 1931 in Live Oak, Florida to the late H.L. and Willie Prevatt. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He met Gail Arnold Prevatt in Santa Barbara, California and they married in 1955. He worked his entire career for Greyhound Bus Lines and retired as an Operations Supervisor. In addition to his parents, his wife Gail Arnold Prevatt, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his five daughters and sons-in law, Valerie and Tom Kubisiak, Jacksonville, FL; Cheryl and Bret Swenson, Atlanta, GA; Eva and Hal McMillan, Boise, ID; Joan and David Hill, Warner Robins, Georgia; and Monica Miller of Caryville, TN; He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister, Waletka Bryen, Orange Park, FL; and two brothers, Lamar Prevatt and Wendell Prevatt, both of Jacksonville, FL.
