Marvin Mitchel ''Sarge'' Ethridge

Marvin Mitchel "Sarge" Ethridge, 67, entered into rest on Thursday, November 24, 2011.

Mark was born on July 4, 1944 in Geneva, Alabama. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served during the Vietnam War. After twenty three years of service, he retired as a First Sergeant. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, and will be greatly missed as a son, father, grandfather, and brother. His father, Jerrol D. Ethridge, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Reba Mae Watson Ethridge of Warner Robins; children, Reggie (Polishia) Ethridge of Greenville, North Carolina and Missy Ethridge of New Bern, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey Ethridge; sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Webb of San Francisco, California; and two nieces, Paula Rubin and Sherry Kohlberg.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Oolesville Road, Suite #100, Silver Spring, MD 20910 or go to www.vva.org.
