Mary Delores "Dee" Hickson

Our beloved mother, Mary Delores “Dee” Hickson, entered the gates of heaven early Monday morning, February 6, 2023, at the age of 88.

Dee was born on April 20, 1934 in Sandersville, Georgia to the late Theo Davis and Fannie Clements. After graduating from Miller High School in Macon, she married and spent 30 years working in Civil Service at various military installations until she retired from Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, in 1989. Dee loved the beach, traveling, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and dancing the jitterbug. Dee was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins until she moved to California to live with her daughter, Cathy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cathy Brodsky and Lori Albrecht; son-in-law, Steve Brodsky; grandsons, Steve Brodsky, Jr. Michael Brodsky, and Skyler Albrecht; granddaughter, Shannon Albrecht; brother, Bernard Davis; and two nieces.

A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church. A memorial service celebrating Dee’s life will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.
