Mary Edna Stewart, 81, entered into rest on Friday, May 22, 2009.
Ms. Stewart was born on January 2, 1928, in Hoboken, and has lived in Warner Robins for the past twenty years. A homemaker and retired nurse, she was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Her husband, James William Stewart, and parents, James M. Courson and Lovie Jane Moody Courson, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Shirley G. Baker, Warner Robins; sister, Eula Mae Thombley, Peachtree City; son-in-law, Kim E. Ledford, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Barry Peacock (Judy), Dinah Peacock Smith (Jeff), Jaylyn Vollmer (Chris), Heather Peacock (Rob), Matthew Baker (Leigh), and Jessica Ledford; great-grandchildren, Jason, Jonah, Samatha, Daphney, Christopher, Joseph, Heidi, Autumn, Margaret, Shey, Blake, Jayde, Kayla, Brittany, Brandon, Alexis, Donovan, Jonathan and Joshua; great-great grandchildren, Allison, Rebecca, Brent, Christopher and Jacob; and adopted grandchildren, Carrie Burton and Dominic Williams.
Visitation will be Monday, May 25, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Randall Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery.
