On the morning of Thursday, February 18, 2021, Mary Frances Phillips, 71, passed away at her residence. The daughter of the late Raymond German and Lois Bolton Cole, Mrs. Phillips was born on July 10, 1949, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She worked as an Assistant Coordinator for the Older Americans Council and was a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Phillips loved to laugh and enjoyed telling great jokes. She was passionate about arts and crafts, especially making ceramics. Mrs. Phillips was also a talented drawer and loved spending her time drawing headshots. She will be remembered for her jokester personality and caring nature.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Leon Phillips; and daughter, Kelly Erin Phillips.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Christopher Drake Phillips of Warner Robins; and siblings, Elaine Turner (J.W.) of Magee, Mississippi; Raymond German, Jr. (Lee) of Mobile, Alabama; Johnny German of Leeds, Alabama; and Shelly German of Mobile, Alabama.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Phillips will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Campbell officiating. Afterward, a private family only graveside service will be held at Magnolia Park Cemetery where Mrs. Phillips will be laid to rest.
