Mary H. Swain, 86, entered into rest on Friday, November 22, 2013.
Mary was born to the late Willie and Alice Haralson on February 22, 1927 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Pete Joyner Sunday School Class. A graduate of Bonaire High School, Mary was employed with Moody Ford, Yearwood Chevrolet, Charlie Pike Chevrolet and Grant's Department Store. She then went on to retire from Robins Air Force Base as a civilian secretary. Mary volunteered her time at the Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation, and she also spent time as an elections poll worker. She was a member of the 5-0 Club at Central Baptist and was forever a die-hard Warner Robins Demon fan. Her husband, Thomas Loyd Swain, and brother, Forrest Haralson, both preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Brenda Swain McLure (Larry), Bonaire; Tommie Swain Hopkins, Pasadena, Maryland; William Michael Swain (Tammy), Warner Robins; grandchildren, Morgan McLure, Lisa McLure Wicker, Alicia Hopkins, Melanie Hopkins and Michael Thomas Swain; great-grandchildren, Scotland, Luke and Rylee; brother, Robert Haralson (Peggy), Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Virginia Haralson and Clara Rose; and brother-in-law, John R. Swain.
Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Central Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will be accepting flowers or memorial donations may be given to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
