Mary Jo Burks

Mary Jo Burks, 71, passed away on January 22, 2006 in her home. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burks was born in Canada. She lived in Windsor Ontario, Canada for 23 years, Detroit, Michigan for 16 years, and Marietta, Georgia for 4 years, then settled in Warner Robins. She was a member of Harvest Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society where she served as a Board Member, the Garden Club, a Lioness, and the Crochet Club. Her husband John Burks and parents, Joseph Ellis and Amy Boismier, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Laurie Gibbs, Warner Robins; Amy Anderson (Ralph) of Warner Robins; sons, John A. Burks, (Indu) of Hawaii; Joe Burks (Patty) of Senoia Georgia; brothers; Dennis Ellis of Houston Texas; James Boismier, Cornwall Ontario, Canada; sisters: Ann Thrift, Windsor Ontario, Canada; Susan Mullens of Windsor Ontario, Canada; Sharon Tracey, Windsor Ontario, Canada; Michelle Routhier, Windsor Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, John M. Burks, Joseph Burks, Jr., Carrie Burks, Nicole Burks, Charis Gibbs, Allie Gibbs, Taylor Gibbs, Matt Gibbs, Kristin Gibbs, Myah Anderson, Madison Anderson, Gracie Anderson, and Tyler Anderson.
