Mary Jo was the ultimate cheerleader for her children, celebrating their achievements with pride and joy.
As her children grew and embarked on their own paths, Mary Jo began a fulfilling career as a civilian at Robins Air Force Base. Her dedication and respect for her work made her a highly regarded member of the Robins Air Force Base community, where she served faithfully for several years until her well-earned retirement.
Mary Jo was not only devoted to her family and career but also to her faith. She was a cherished member of Second Baptist Church, where she served as a treasurer to her Sunday School class. Her creative spirit also made her a remarkable seamstress, capable of crafting anything from elegant dresses to band uniforms and other clothing items. She even possessed the talent to skillfully upholster a chair, showcasing her artistic abilities. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mary Jo tirelessly sewed thousands of masks to help protect her community and keep others safe, embodying the spirit of selflessness and compassion.
