Mary Lee Erdman Bowman

Mary Lee Bowman, 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2018.

Mrs. Bowman was born in Curlew, Iowa to the late Alfred and Clara Conley Erdman of Wesley, Iowa where she grew up prior to her Civil Service Career. She worked as the Secretary to General Hefley and later as the Logistics Officer at Robins Air Force Base to complete 32 years of civil service before retiring. Mrs. Bowman was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until she moved to California in 2014 to be closer to her family. Mrs. Bowman was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority from which she was a recipient of the “Sorority’s International Award”. However, her greatest joy came from time spent with her beloved family.

Her loving husband, Hubert “Blackie” Bowman preceded her in death in 2008.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sister, Patricia Wolfe (Harold) of Nevada City, California, brother, Will Erdman (JoAnn) of Santa Anna, California, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A funeral mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. After the service, Mrs. Bowman will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
