A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary Lou Ivey, 85, entered into her heavenly home following her passing at The Phoenix at Lake Joy on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Mary Lou was the daughter of the late James and Dora Edwards Gray. She was born in Union Point, Georgia, on March 27, 1937. In her younger years, Mary Lou enjoyed making her house a home for her husband and children. She later worked for a number of years as a civilian on Robins Air Force Base. Mary Lou was a long time member of Second Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Glennie Grier Ivey, Jr.; children, Cindy Huff and James “Tony” Huff (Debbie); stepdaughters, Diane Snow and Laura Davis (Buddy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens where Mary Lou will be laid to rest. Reverend Jeff Cleghorn will officiate her service.
