Mary Margie Hickman

Mary M. Hickman, 79, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 26, 2009.

Ms. Hickman was born on October 21, 1929 in Upson County, Georgia. First Baptist Church of Warner Robins was her church home. She was a member of the senior group Keenagers, the Cherokee Rose Garden Club as well as the Vintage Rose Red Hat Society. A homemaker, she was devoted to her family. Her parents, William Olin Vickery and Mary Pearl McKinley Vickery, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of sixty-two years, Charles Hickman, Warner Robins; daughter, Vicki Smith (Dannie), Thomaston; sons, Allen Hickman (Pat), Warner Robins, and Mark Hickman (Kathy), Kathleen; grandchildren, Scott Hickman, Wendi Williams (Chip), Cathy Christmas (Sam), Emily Kell (Shaun), Amanda Smith, Ryan Hickman (Kim), and Justin Hickman; great-grandsons, Luke and Josh Williams; brother, David Vickery (Aurelia), Thomaston; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, the reverends Sydney Odom and Andy Hammock officiating. Commital will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomaston, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009, the Reverend Billy Barber officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church, 1135 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins GA 31088.
