Mary Tompkins

Mary Tompkins, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on, Thursday, July 14, 2011.

Mrs. Tompkins was born on February 3, 1923 in Odum, Georgia. She was a member of Northview United Methodist Church. Ms. Mary retired from Houston Medical Center where she was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse. After retirement, she enjoyed being a homemaker. A true Christian lady, she loved her Lord and shared her Christianity with all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her husband, William Curtis Tompkins and her parents, Ben Owen Oliver and Lucy Jane Bellflower Oliver, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Harris Warren Mullis (Pamela), Livermore, California; Marilyn LaWanda Mullis, Warner Robins; brother, Edward Oliver, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Lisa Lichanec, Daniel Lichanec; great granddaughter, Sarai Lichanec, and so many other loving family members and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Northview United Methodist Church with the Reverend Kary Shumate officiating. Interment will be private.
