Mary Vallie Howell Harrell

March 5, 1927 — May 3, 2019

Mary Harrell, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 3, 2019.

Born on March 5, 1927 in Macon, Georgia, Mary was the daughter of the late Hubert Howell and Norma Irene Howell. Mary worked at Robins Air Force Base as a supervisor for over 30 years before she retired. A woman of unfailing faith, Mary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved people unconditionally and did all things whole heartedly.

Mary had many hobbies. She enjoyed all forms of dancing but her favorite types were ball room and square dancing which she did at the Recreational Center in Warner Robins and at the Macon Coliseum. Mary also loved being outside, where she enjoyed to fish and work in her yard. Mary especially liked planting flowers. She was a “workaholic” but would occasionally take time to go to the beach. Her favorite spot to vacation was at the beach. Most of all, Mary adored her family and loved everyone that she met.

Mary had the most memorable personality and a caring heart. Once someone met Mary Harrell, they would never forget her. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lonnie J. Harrell.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Don Jackson (Theresa), and Celeste Payne; grandchildren, Bryan Jackson, Melessa Jackson, Amy Materne, Angie Milam (Josh); great grandchildren, Conner, Haley, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Selena, and Christian.
