At the age of 93, Mary Alma Waller Pierce joined her husband, James D. Pierce in Heaven on Friday, September 18, 2020.
Born and raised in Griffin, Georgia, Mary was the daughter of the late Lee Leonard and Maggie Belle Adams Waller. A proud military wife, she traveled all over the country alongside of her husband. Mary worked hard her whole life and retired from Robins Air Force Base as an Avionics Technician. She loved watching sports, especially professional and little league baseball. Mary was talented at crocheting. She lived a long, productive, yet simple and elegant life. Mary will be missed by the many that were blessed enough to know and love her.
Her legacy lives on through her children, Theresa Bryson (Kenneth James) of Decatur; James Richard Pierce of Warner Robins; Connie P. Hopkins (Tim) of Warner Robins; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeanette Brooks of Warner Robins.
At the family’s request, a private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Pierce requests that all attendees please exercise strong social distancing and wear a facial covering or a mask.
