Matthew Evan Earnest

Matt E. Earnest, 19, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Living Hope Congregational Holiness Church Building Fund, 4127 Chambers Road, Macon, Georgia, 31206.

Matthew was born in Valdosta, Georgia on July 15, 1986. He was a 2004 graduate of Houston County High School where he served as President of the Student Council and Co-President of FBLA, and a member of BETA Club and Prayer Club. He was a sophomore at Georgia Southwestern State University where he was a member of Gamma Beta Mu, Gamma Beta Phi, “O” Team, and an R.A at the dormitory. In addition, he was a member of the Resident Hall Association. He was an active member of Living Hope Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include his parents, Stewart and Elaine Earnest, Kathleen; sisters, Ashley Earnest, Americus; Kim Gibson, Columbus; brother, Ken Earnest, Columbus; grandmother, Anita Evans, Eastman; special friend, Lucille Gilliland, Bonaire; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
