Maureen Ellen Thompson

Maureen Ellen Thompson, 65, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

Maureen was born on August 5, 1947 in Washington, D.C. She was a thirty year member of First Baptist Church of Centerville; active in the Shining Lights Sunday School Class where she also served as the class Secretary. Maureen retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base after thirty-three years of dedicated service as a Human Resource Specialist. She was also active with the Senior Citizens Group of Centerville. Her parents, Maurice O'Connell and Frances O'Connell Stoddard, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of forty-four years, Rick Thompson, Warner Robins; sons and daughters-in law, Mark Thompson (Lori), Byron; Wayne Thompson (Valerie), Saint Augustine, Florida; Timothy Thompson (Allison), Warner Robins; siblings, Marie Walburn, Maggie McLaughlin, and Monsignor Maurice O'Connell, all of Maryland; grandchildren, Rachel, Kayla, Jenna, Sarah, Leah, Cole, Luke, Alli Grace, Dylan, and Hannah; and so many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday evening, September 16, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Centerville Cemetery.
