Maurice "Jimmy" Oma Pruett, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
Jimmy was born on February 19, 1928, in Nicholsville, Alabama, and had lived in middle Georgia for the past ten years. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army. He later became a long haul truck driver, and worked at Vision Savers part-time for six years. He was an Atlanta Braves fan, as well as an avid Alabama football fan. His parents, Perry W. Pruett and Sitha Ruth Luker Pruett, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Elaine Cahalan (Brian Willett), Donna Mims (Tracy), both of Warner Robins, Randy Pruett, San Antonio, Texas, and Debby Harris (Bennie), Semmes, Alabama; brother, Perry Pruett, II, Madison, Alabama; sister, Leeda Walker, Aimwell, Alabama; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Donnie Cape officiating. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
