Mavis R. Mimbs

Mavis R. Mimbs, 90, entered into rest Saturday, March 5, 2011.

Mavis was born on November 23, 1920, in Soperton, Georgia. A resident of Warner Robins she along with her husband and son were owner and operator of Elmer's Hardware Store for many years. Mavis will be remembered for her deep love for her husband of forty years, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a compassionate and caring friend, who had a love for gardening. Her loving husband, Elmer Mimbs, parents, Homer Dean Rogers and Ella Mae Sterling Rogers preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved children, Philip Mimbs and his wife Marilyn, Jacksonville, Florida; Sheila Boutselis and her husband James, Warner Robins; five grandchildren, Marca Barr, Allison Bloodworth, Maridith Mimbs, Jennifer Higginbotham, Katherine Boutselis; two great-grandchildren, Evan and Alec Bloodworth, four loving sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 227 M.L.K. Jr. Blvd Ste 201, Macon Georgia 31201.
