Max is an Osborn, Ohio graduate of Bath High School class of 1940. He was a basketball, baseball, and football all-star player and football team captain. He married the lovely, energetic cheerleader, Mary.
In 1975, he retired as Inventory Management Specialist of Robins Air Force Base. This man ran the gamut from gliders to Caribou in his 30 year career with Uncle Sam's Air Force while serving as a civil service WRAMA logistics manager of the C-124 Globemaster and C-133 Cargomaster logistics support requirement.
His passion was bass fishing, golfing, pinochle games and bingo. He was an award-winning Robins Anglers Fishing Club member; and scored 2 holes-in-one, 20 years apart. At Sandy Run, Ernest Wood, Jimmy Lambert, and Bill Townsend watched. The hole was 148 yards long. He won hundreds of Belmont Bucks at Belmont Village. He taught his son Gary so many engineering skills of carpentry, automobile maintenance and fixing anything. His daughter Jane inherited athletic/sports abilities. He instilled an important awareness for being a supportive and compassionate parent, and gave comfort in the knowledge he will be there eternally for Daddy's Little Girl…always.
An inspiration to everyone, Max lived a good life. He has arrived at home in God's eternal home. The lives he touched have flourished. The beauty of his spirit lingers on in the hearts of the people he inspired.
