Maxwell J. Wilson, 83, entered into rest on October 10, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008 at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson was born on June 18, 1925 in Jackson County, Georgia. He served his country with pride and honor in the U. S. Marine Corps in the World War II era and retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked as a Flight Line Supervisor. He was a long time member of Central Baptist Church and an avid outdoorsman. His parents, Summie Wilson and Bessie Barrett Wilson, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty-nine years, Mildred Eubanks Wilson, Warner Robins; daughter, Sheila W. Gibbs (Charles), Bonaire; sons, Summie M. Wilson (Charlotte), Kathleen and Douglas M. Wilson (Kim), Bonaire; sister, Jean Wilson, Warner Robins; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care for their sensitive nursing and thoughtfulness. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry GA 31069.
