Bill was called home to be with his Lord on April 7, 2025. Bill was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Quinn Laseter and Ruth Irene Rogers Laseter.
Bill was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Navy over 23 years, retiring with the enlisted rank of Master Chief Petty Officer and later retiring from the United States Postal Services.
Bill married the love of his life, Bonnie Marie Beers Romines on August 14, 1987, and they have five children between them: daughters, Tammy Hardin (Kelly), Wendy Hoffman, and Heidi Clamp and sons, Joel Romines (LeeAnn) and Billy Joe Laseter, Jr., along with adopted son, Kevin (Yolanda Reid). They have 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
Bill is survived by his siblings, Betty Harrison of Dothan, Alabama, Sue White and Judy White, both of Lucille, Georgia, Elizabeth Martin of Columbus, Georgia, and Kerry D. Laseter (Dianne) of Kinsey, Alabama, Shirley Enfinger, and deceased brother, James Laseter (Shirley).
Visitation will be April 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Dilks and Pastor Stephen Byrd officiating. Afterward, Bill will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
