Melinda Florence Melton

Melinda Melton, 53, entered into rest on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Melinda was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Melton and Estelle Louise Melton. She was a unique, determined, outgoing, and fun loving person who was talented at playing pool, throwing darts, and bowling. “Funky Cold Medina” by Tone Loc was her favorite song. She had a special place in her heart for cats, especially for her own two cats, Jack and Isabelle. Melinda will be remembered as having empathy for others and a forgiving heart. Most of all, Melinda was protective of her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Melinda was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Melton.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Ashley Bush, Diana Melton, Richard Singletary; grandchildren, Gabriel Morris, Chonar Bush, Ryker Bush, Tommy Bush, Eric Bush; siblings, Melanie Donald, Marilyn Melton, Robert Melton; and nephew, Brandon Bray.

A memorial gathering celebrating the life of Melinda Florence Melton will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Melinda Florence Melton to Ronald McDonald House & 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
