Melita Faye Selph, 67, entered into rest on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
Melita was born on May 27, 1944 in Osage, Iowa. A cancer survivor, she was a member of the Bosom Buddies Cancer Support Group. Melita was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and was an avid supporter of the Northside High School Band. Her husband, Willard Lavon Selph; parents, Richard Spratt and Esther Faye Dicus Spratt; and siblings, Draper Spratt, Jim Spratt, Judy Schlitter, and Marylyn Earnest, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Mark W. Selph (Catherine) of Byron and Pamela K. Ingram (Norman) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Norman Ingram, Jr., Andrea and Sarah Ingram, John, Robert and Chelsea Bridges, and Kelsey Selph; siblings, Roger Spratt (Karen) of Arizona, John Spratt (Rosemary) of Iowa, and Howard Spratt (Myrna) of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, Georgia 31201, or to the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road, PMB# 359, Macon, GA 31210.
