Melvina C. Booth, 88, entered into rest on Friday, June 5, 2009.
Mrs. Booth was born on June 4, 1921 in Cedartown, Georgia. A graduate of Misenhammer Business College and Campbell Commercial College in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a retired Civil Servant who had worked for United States Navy as a Finance Clerk. She also modeled for Rich's Department Store and she was of the Methodist Faith. Her husband, Charles Booth, and parents, Howard Countryman and Nathalie Gober Countryman, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Charlie Peterson, (Kathy), Warner Robins; granddaughter, Jennifer Peterson, Warner Robins; grandsons, Ezra Peterson, Athens, and Simon Peterson, Cumming; three great-grandchildren, Gracie, Sophie and Reese; sisters, Jessie Williamson, Taylor, Michigan; Polly Linder, Macon, and Betty Hughes, Miami; niece, Anne Linder, Macon; nephews, Dr. Charles Linder, Augusta; Don Williamson, Seneca, South Carolina, and Glen Williamson, Taylor, Michigan.
There will be a drop-in visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, in Magnolia Park Cemetery, the Reverend Andy Cook officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Shirley Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins GA 31088 or to Mental Health America, Bell of Hope Memorial, 2000 N.
