Michael Rano, 60, passed away at the Medical Center Navicent Health on Friday, April 28, 2017.
Michael was born on January 15, 1957 in Lucedale, Mississippi. He was disabled veteran of the United States Navy where he honorably served our country. Following his active duty service, Michael worked as a food service director at Phoebe-Putnam Hospital and later Carlyle Place in Macon. He loved spending time outdoors, cooking, and animals. However, his greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved family.
His memory will forever be treasured by his sons, Michael Anthony Rano, Jr. of Macon; Dustin Von Rano (Heather) of Mobile, Alabama; three grandchildren; mother, Kathleen English of Macon; father, Jesus Vales Rano of San Diego, California; brother, Jesus Vales Rano, Jr.; sister, Angela Ramey; Rhonda Davis; Parish Cromer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Zebulon Road, Macon, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefitting Michael A. Rano. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with "Michael A. Rano Memorial Fund" written in the memo line.
