Michael D. Rains

Michael D. Rains, age 60, passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior on the morning of Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Born at Homestead Air Force Base, FL on April 22, 1962, he was a 1980 graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School. Michael enlisted in the U.S. Navy and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Macon State College. He continued service to his country while working as a contractor at Robins Air Force Base in computer sciences. Michael was an avid music lover and talented musician; he excelled at playing piano and guitar and also loved singing. Michael will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Shirley Rains of Bonaire and father, Lloyd L. Rains of Perry. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lori Rains-Roberts in 2000.

At the family’s request, all services will private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Michael to the Christ United Methodist Church Music Ministry, 511 Russell Pkwy., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to the Bonaire United Methodist Church, 221 Church St., Bonaire, GA 31005.
