Michael Dale Owens

Michael Dale Owens, 43, died Friday, January 25. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 28 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Owens was born in Macon, GA. He was a graduate of Peach County High School. He was the mascot for the following minor league teams: the Detroit Tigers, Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was also affiliated with the Macon Heat, Macon Braves, Macon Knights and Macon Peaches. He was the Equipment Manager for the Macon Whoopee.

Survivors include his parents, R.D. Owens and Sara Ruth Owens of Warner Robins; daughter, Jennifer Owens, Warner Robins; brothers, Marvin Owens, Byron; Steve Owens, Warner Robins; Ronnie Owens, Macon; Curtis Owens, Fort Valley; sister, Karen Poole, Fort Valley; grandmother, Willie Haynes, Mentone, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
