Michael Humphrey, 61, went home with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2017.
Michael was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Lorenzo Humphrey and Joyce Artis Coleman on November 3, 1955. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis and soon after joined the United States Air Force. Michael proudly served his country for four years before being honorably discharged at George Air Force Base in California. He later graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Electrical Engineering. A computer genius, Michael enjoyed a career as an electrical engineer for Raytheon.
Michael was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and attended the congregation at Chapel Hill in Macon where he enjoyed serving as the media specialist. In his spare time, he enjoyed amateur photography, traveling and spending time with his family.
Michael's memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife, Claretta V. Humphrey and daughters, Fleicia Jackson and Sabriya Lewis (Kevin), all of Warner Robins; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, James Coleman, Carla Johnson, and Gladys Robertson, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Michael's burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to the Youth Ministry at the Church of Christ at Chapel Hill, 4500 Chapel Hill Drive, Macon, GA 31206.
