Michael Sylvester, 48, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at his home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Bonaire United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2004 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Mrs. Patsy Sylvester, 1124 Jewell Dr., Perry, GA 31069.
Mr. Sylvester was born at Craig AFB, Selma, AL. He was of the Baptist faith, an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as being a musician. He graduated from Escondido High School in Escondido, CA and earned his Certificate of Automotive from Macon Vocational Technical School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and worked as an A.S.E. Master Technician. His father, Charles David Sylvester, SR. preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Patsy Sylvester, Perry; mother, Ruby A. Sylvester, Whitfield; daughter, Melissa Moorhead (Earl, Jr.,) Rutledge, GA; sons, Scott Allgood (Christina,) Madison, GA, Michael David Sylvester, Jr, and Matthew Steven Sylvester, Perry, GA; sister, Deborah Marney (Mike, his best friend,) Warner Robins, GA; brothers, Charles Dexter (Sherill) Sylvester, Perry, GA, John Eric (Pamela) Sylvester, Silver Hill, AL, Daniel Thomas Sylvester and Steven (Kristy) Sylvester, Warner Robins, GA; grandson, Noah James Mason Moorhead; granddaughter, Hannah Grace Moorhead; one step-sister; four half-brothers; two half-sisters, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
