A devoted husband, son, and brother, Michael Lomus Chancellor, 62, passed away at Houston Medical Center on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Born on December 21, 1958, in Fort Valley, Georgia, Michael was the son of Connie Chancellor and the late Zebbie Lomus Chancellor, Jr. In high school, Michael was a proud member of the Dixie Demon Marching Band as a Clarinet player. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1977. Michael went on to study Computer Science at Macon Junior College and became a skilled System Specialist. He worked at Robins Federal Credit Union for 38 years in the Information Technology department until his retirement.
Michael was an avid Atlanta Braves fan; he enjoyed watching the team play and collecting baseball cards. Michael also loved anything to do with Disney and the color purple, enjoyed exploring the Caribbean with his wife, Sharon on Caribbean Cruises, and was an Eagle Scout in Troop 58. Passionate about politics, he was a lifelong Republican. Most of all, he was a Christian and a servant to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Michael attended Christ United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins.
In addition to his father, Michael was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ricky Boyd.
His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 13 years, Sharon Boyd Chancellor; mother, Constance “Connie” LeVerne Lyons Chancellor; siblings, Elizabeth Ann Chancellor and Douglas Neil Chancellor; brothers-in-law, Jackie Boyd and Reggie Boyd; nieces and nephews, Ashley Tomlin (Evan), Robby Boyd, Casey Boyd, Lauren Boyd; and his beloved furbabies.
