Mildred Mims Williams, 68, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, at Second Baptist Church with interment following at 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City, Georgia. Visitation will be Monday, August, 23, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund or Youth Scholarship Fund, 701 Sandy Run Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Second Baptist Church where she attended Lydia Sunday School class and the XYZ Senior Citizens Group. She was a member of Warner Robins Senior Citizens. Mrs. Williams was a retired school teacher and membership co-chairman for the Houston County Retired Educators Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Williams; and parents, Otis Leon Mims and Vera Etheridge Hill.
Survivors include, daughter, Lois Bryant (John), Warner Robins son, Albert “Gene” Williams (Angie), Bonaire; sister, Lula Edmondson, Franklin, Georgia; sister, Joan Powell, Helena, Georgia; brother, Charles Hill, Sarasota, Florida; sister, Betty Gwaultney, Tennessee; granddaughter, Danielle Byrd, Warner Robins; grandson, Preston Williams, Bonaire; and grandson, John Aaron Bryant, Warner Robins.
