Mildred Ray (Betty Ruth)

Mildred Ray (Betty Ruth), known a beloved Warner Robins native, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born on January 3, 1945, Mildred was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Robinson Simmons. She was a lifelong resident of Warner Robins and retired.

Mildred was known for her vibrant personality, and outgoing nature. A lover of music and dancing, she could often be found tapping her feet to church songs and the soulful rhythms. She also could be found spending an afternoon fishing.

Mildred’s kindness and caring spirit were felt by everyone she met. She had a gift for cooking and was always ready to share a meal with others. She never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone she encountered.

Left to cherish Mildred’s memory are her children, James W. Ray, Jr., Melissa Hubbard (Robert L.), Franklin L. Ray, Keith L. Ray, Kristan R. Davis (Brandon L.); over ten devoted grandchildren, including Prachitta Hubbard, Mickia Williams, Mariyah Davis, and Robert L. Hubbard, Jr.; as well as 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Janie-Mae Toliver.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Mildred Ray will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park South.
