Mildred Ruth Wade passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care.
Born on May 4, 1919 in Queens, New York, Mildred was of the Episcopal faith. She worked for the Naval Ordinance in Byron before working Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Mildred retired after 25 years of dedicated service.
Her beloved husband, Benjamin Franklin Wade; parents, William D. and Frances Rau Magagnos; brother, Bill Magagnos; and sister, Dorothy Brown, preceded her in death.
Mildred's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Janet Hortman (Gary) of Warner Robins, Linda Anderson (Jerry) of St. Johns, Florida and Frank Wade (Betty Jo) of Byron; grandchildren, Tricia Johnson, Cindy Mason, Greg Hortman, Sharon Kelly, Suzanne Lewis, Spencer Wade and Stephen Wade; great-grandchildren, Jessica Parton, Evan and Ashley Mason, Cory and Caliegh Hortman, Kristie Lilkendey, Hunter and Payton Johnson, Jared and Audrey Lewis, and Dallas, Addison and Parker Wade; and great-great grandchildren, Christian and Aubrey Parton, and Emma Lilkendey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Mildred Wade to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201.
